This year we will be doing our Luau . it's a way for the parents to get together and talk and get to know each other plus I include some of my family members.

The daycare families get together. I supply pizza, bread sticks, salad and drinks. The children will paint a pumpkin, do one craft then play 3 games. Wearing a costume is optional.
Since this is a family home daycare I feel family functions are crucial to have. It gives it more of a family feeling/ setting.
